My names Tony and I live in the UK in a little town called Rotherham near Sheffield, United Kingdom.

I've been a very big Madonna fan since 1984

Madonna Direct was formed in 1999 after I decided to close my record shop and had lots of spare time on my hands. By that time I'd been collection Madonna items for over 15 yeah and had so much I wanted to do something with them so I decided to make this site.

The site has been a challenge for me to keep up with. When u think u have it all up pops something new and I think that's the great thing about collection anything.

Although the site has gone through a lot of changers over the years I think now I'm satisfied with both the look at the response of the site.

My Collection

Like a virgin cassette album was the first Madonna item I ever bought way back in 1984 and as a child I grown up buying cassettes until my brother got his first record player then I started buying LPs and records. 

It wasn't until 1991( The year I left school ) when I got my first CD player that I started to buy CD's. The first CD I bought was Vogue.

When I left school and started to work most of my money went on CD's and Records. My parents thought I was obsessed. Since then my collection has grown and grown.

In the late 90's during the time I had my own record shop I bought allot of Madonna CDs through the shop. This is probably the reason I have more items from the Ray Of Light album then any other,

Over the years I have had many holidays and it seams its not a holiday without a good second hand music shop to root a round in. 

My first holiday to Florida I went to nearly ever record shop in the yellow pagers. ( thanks to Jim )

I spent more on Madonna Items then I did on anything else.

Most of all I like to collect CDs now a days as records take up so much room. I still have hundreds of records in the attic.

I have hundreds of videos and DVDs, although at the moment I have been selling a lot as they too take a lot of space up.

FAQ

Bigger Pictures

This is by far the biggest question I get asked.

Believe it or not the running costs for the web site come out of my own pocket. Madonna Direct is not a money making site. 

Items sold on the shop pages are my own personal items. So It would cost me a lot more money to upload bigger pictures. 

Anybody wanting a bigger scan can always email me and I will be glad to send anything I have by email.

** Update **

As from July 2007 I have upgraded the site and I can now put full size scans on the site at no extra cost so keep checking back as Ill get around to making them bigger,

Where do I get pictures from

Most of the pictures on the site are from my own personal collection.

I also have a number of friends that collect Madonna from around the world that send me information and pictures.

Where do I get my Madonna items from

Many places. When I'm on my travels I pick up all sorts of rarities. I also use my local record shop and EBay.

I have a lot of people to thank for the support and inspiration given to me over the years.

Not only close friend but a lot of people that have helped the site grow over the years by sending me information and pictures.

Lee Everett

Lee is very much part of my family now. 

Lee has been involved in Madonna Direct since the very beginning and believe me he has put up with some crap. He's always been there waiting while I look thru endless record shops where ever we've been. 

I used his spare room for years to store my collection. Lee could never understand why I had 20 copies of the same album. Best thing about it is he don't even like Madonna.

Well what can I say about Katy.

Katy's has been my rock for a long time. She stuck by me when I've been  down and never judges me for my decisions in life. Although Katy's has not played a big part in the site she's kept me going outside the web site.

Carlo is my friend from South Africa. Although we haven't know each other that long I feel we will be friends
